According to WHO, How EU Is Performing In Covid-19 Vaccination Rollout?

According to Wealth Health Organization (WHO), Europe has been extremely slow in the rollout of Covid-19 vaccination.

According to the UN office, coronavirus spread increased in most countries last week, with 1.6 million new cases and almost 24,000 deaths. “Vaccines are our best hope for surviving this pandemic. They not only work, but they also work well in preventing an outbreak. However, the WHO’s Regional Director, Dr. Hans Kluge, said, “The rollout of these vaccinations is unacceptably slow.”

Europe is one of the most affected regions in the world by COVID-19. The rate of deaths is quickly reaching one million, and the number of cases is predicted to top 45 million. According to the UN organization, new cases are growing in all age groups, except for those aged 80 and over, “reflecting early signs of the effects of vaccination.”

According to Dr. Kluge, continued public health efforts would be needed to compensate for delayed schedules as long as vaccination coverage remains limited. “Let me be clear: we need to accelerate the process by increasing production, lowering barriers to vaccination programs, and using every single vial we have in storage right now,” he concluded.

As of now, only 10% of the population in the region has received one vaccine dose, and only 4% have been completely vaccinated.
